The HousesinPico company, was founded in March 2015 by Hugo Medeiros.
The founder created his company because he believes in the evolution and development of local tourism and in the capabilities that Pico island has to offer to those who live there and especially to the visitors from several parts of the world.
HousesinPico, is a rental company of homes located in the local rural environment. At the moment the company has cottages - rural tourism, and local accommodation in rural areas.
In addition to housing the company intends that the visitors enjoy as much as possible of the island and their holidays. So there are several partnerships with local companies offering various kinds of leisure activities, from whale watching, diving, mountain climbing, adventure sports, tracks, among others, thus creating a higher offer to our customers.
The Rent-a-car Oasis belongs to ViaturPico group. Founded in 1998, initially focused its activity in the car rental industry with the Rent-a-car Oasis and eventually expanded to hire nautical leisure facilities with Nauti-rent.
The Rent-a-car Oasis has its own offices in the island of Pico, particularly in São Roque - with headquarters in the Regional Road 91 and the maritime station of San Roque and in Madalena - with offices at street Dr. Freitas Pimentel and the maritime station of the Madalena.We also pick up guests arriving at Pico Airport. We have offices in the major entry points of the island which allows customers to receive and deliver cars without paying displacement rates in both municipalities of S. Roque and Madalena. We also have our own offices in the maritime station of Horta, in Faial island and partnerships in the islands of São Jorge and Terceira.
