Terms and Conditions
1. Purpose and Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website and the reservation service of local accommodation and tourist activities made available by Hus i Pico, based in Caminho do Poço Diogo Vieira, Prainha de Baixo, São Roque do Pico, Azores.
By browsing the website or making a reservation, the user fully accepts the conditions described here.
2. Reservation Process
- Booking Request:Reservations can be requested through the online form, email or chat.
- Minimum Stay:A minimum stay of two (2) nights is required.
- Confirmation:The reservation is only considered confirmed after sending proof of payment of the requested amount and the respective confirmation by Houses in Pico.
- Personal Data:The customer is responsible for the veracity of the data entered (NIF, Identification, Email).
3. Prices and Payment
- Seasonality:Prices vary according to the season (Low, Medium and High) and the type of accommodation chosen.
- Rates:Prices include all applicable fees and cleaning/maintenance services.
- Payment Methods:Bank transfers or bank deposits are accepted. Credit cards can be accepted through partner booking platforms.
4. Cancellation and Refunds Policy
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, the following rules apply:
- Up to 30 days before arrival:Full refund of the amount paid.
- Between 29 and 8 days before arrival:Refund of 50% of the total amount paid.
- 7 days or less (or “No-Show”):There will be no refund.
5. Rules of Use of the Accommodation
- Check-in:From 14:00 h.
- Check-out:Until 11:00 h.
- Capacity:It is not allowed to stay more than the maximum capacity defined for each house.
- Animals:Pets are not allowed to stay (unless specifically agreed in advance).
- Prohibitions:It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the houses and hold parties or events that disturb the tranquility of the rural area where the accommodations are inserted.
6. Third Party Services and Partnerships
Houses in Pico acts as an intermediary in services of Rent a car(through Rent-a-Car Oasis) and leisure activities (Whale Watching, climbing the mountain, etc.).
- The responsibility for the implementation of these services lies entirely with the partner companies.
- Any complaints about these services should be directed directly to the specific provider.
7. Responsibility
- Houses in Pico is not responsible for theft, theft or damage to personal objects within the accommodations.
- The customer is responsible for any damage caused to the property or the filling of the house during their stay.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
The data collected is intended for the management of reservations and compliance with legal obligations (such as sending data to SEF). For more information, see our [Privacy Policy].
9. Book of Complaints and Dispute Resolution
- A Houses in Pico features Electronic Complaints Book.
- The inspection body is Regional Tourism Inspectionof the Azores.
- In the event of a dispute, the consumer may resort to an Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution Entity.
10. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For the resolution of any judicial conflict, the competent forum is that of the County of São Roque do Pico (or the competent court in the Autonomous Region of the Azores).
